Suddenly, they hear the voice of Fish Fingers, who is Charlie's co-worker, locked outside which leads to the loading dock and begging to be let out.
Malorie sees some birds that she decides to take with her as pets. They get to the market and grab as much food as they can. Tom manages to drive them out of harm's way. The GPS then starts going off over a proximity alert, meaning the entity is surrounding them. On the road, they feel that they are driving over dead bodies and try to ignore it. They paint over the windows and use the GPS to guide them. Malorie, Tom, Douglas, Lucy, and Charlie get together to go to the supermarket where Charlie used to work since he locked the place up as things went sideways. The group has begun to run out of food, and they know help isn't coming. She walks around and thinks she hears a thumping noise in the house, but she finds it's just Lucy and Felix hooking up. Later that night, Olympia tries to talk with Malorie over their potential baby names, but Malorie just wants to be left alone. The others then destroy the computer monitor. They rush upstairs in time to see Greg tip himself over and smash his head against an edge, killing him. And then the others hear a thumping coming from the room. He sits in front of the computers waiting to see something on the monitors, and then it looks as though he does. Greg then offers to observe whatever is outside by checking out the transmitters in the house. He reluctantly accepts and the woman, Olympia, heads inside, where the other survivors find out that she is pregnant. Douglas refuses to open it, but Malorie grabs a rifle and points it at Douglas and tells Tom to open the door.
A few days later, a woman knocks on the front door and asks to be let in. Tom tends to Malorie as she explains about her sister Jessica and Lydia's suicides. As Tom brings the injured Malorie with the help of another survivor named Lucy, where she meets the other survivors: Douglas, Greg, the owner of the house that the survivors are residing, an elderly woman named Cheryl, married couple Jason and Samantha, Lucy's boyfriend Felix, and a supermarket employee named Charlie. When everyone is being killed, Tom and another woman named Lydia went to get Malorie Hayes, however, Lydia sees one of the monsters, whom she refers to as her mother and is immolated in a car explosion as her husband Douglas watches in horror.
